Sowing Doubt

Because everything deserves criticism.
"The government cannot force you to buy things. It can only tax you, draft you, seize and sell your property, arrest you, incarcerate you, and execute you. It cannot tell you to buy insurance, only a gecko can do that."

After years of calling Obama a socialist/Communist/Marxist Communist, the GOP now accuses him of being a crony capitalist. →

This is not a story from The Onion.

Really?!  I mean, the poor man simply cannot win.  And for them to call him such things is beyond hypocrisy.

Fucking hell.

Hypocrites or not, they’re right.

And the median family income has decreased by more than $2500 in the last 10 years, too. (also in Senate Bill S.1323)

I know you already know this, but it should outrage you, and I will continue posting reminders until you do something about it.

Dick Cheney is popping up on TV screens daily this week in a media blitz to promote his new book, where he rewrites the history of the Iraq war and confirms that he’s still quite happy with torturing people.
What I find absolutely, utterly, gob-smackingly unbelievable is that this war-criminal is being allowed to strut around in public, listened to deferentially by a fawning media, instead of being locked up in jail for the rest of his miserable life.
Seriously, forget the faux-cynicism and the ‘realpolitik’ nonsense that says ‘well what did you expect’ or ‘thats just how it is’. How can any country even pretend to be civilized if they let men like Cheney and Bush get away with the most heinous of war crimes? How can everyone collude in staying silent and carry on normally as if this huge perversion of justice is not going on ?
The failure to prosecute known war criminals is a great jagged black-hole in the very fabric of law and order that has weakened America to the point where nobody in the world can possibly take anything it says seriously. It is the behaviour of a society mired deep in moral decline. Only justice can ever start to put that right.

2012 Republican Presidential Candidates

I’ve grown tired of mocking Republicans. It seems pointless when the Democratic candidates may seem smarter or more sane, but care just as little about you, and just as much about corporate contributions and interests.
