Sowing Doubt

Because everything deserves criticism.

Retired Russian Colonel-General Leonid Ivashov says Russia is prepared to defend Syria and Iran from attack. He claims by doing this, Russia would be defending the world from Fascism, even going so far as to compare the Libyan intervention with the Nazi invasion of Poland and then Russia. This might be going too far, though I’m not quite sure where he’s going with that. I assume he means tactically and not genocidally. Either way it’s a gutsy move, but I guess he’s hammering in his point:

The United States is by and large the largest Fascist threat to the world today.

Of course he never mentions the United States by name. As a dissident I’ve never given much thought to studying America’s enemies actions and words for inspiration. Surely one of America’s oldest enemies, Russian tactics and rhetoric can be tuned into great tools for the subversive activist. Anyways fascism sucks.
